Freeride Snowboards

K2 Antidote
$599.95
Built at our Team's request and targeted at the advanced-to-expert level rider, the Antidote is an all-new all-mountain snowboard that blurs the lines between freeride and freestyle. It feels most at home charging around the resort is takes a liking to more significant freestyle features. Learning from the success of the Alchemist, we've included a ton of technology into this directional twin. We've added our patented SpaceGlass™ technology to the tip and tail of this new model. Weight reduction allows for quicker spins, and a more rigid material means better edge pressure at the contact points. Our all-new Recess3D technology removes material from the board, helping to reduce weight and chatter and add a visual depth to the top sheet. While the rest of the board is absolutely packed with tech features, the key element that makes the Antidote perform so well is the 3D Base Contour. 3mm of contour from contact-to-contact point in the tip and tail makes this board ride like nothing else. Adding 3D shaping to the base helps to deflect soft snow, eases the process of turn initiation, deflects chunder and crud when it gets hectic, and gives the Antidote a more "catch-free" ride. Feature 1: NEW! A1 Core - Lightweight, snappy, and durable, our ALL NEW! A1 Core is made from three renewable species of timber - Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia. Aspen-dominant to highlight the snap and response of this wood, we've combined it with Bamboo at 30 ° underfoot to increase strength, supercharge the edge-to-edge response, and increase the pressure distribution along the edge. We've also placed lightweight paulownia in the tip and tail to help to reduce swing weight. Feature 2: NEW! Recess3D - By reducing the number of materials in low-stress zones, we're able to minimize the swing weight of your snowboard while also reducing chatter in the tip and tail - all without sacrificing strength. Feature 3: SpaceGlass™ Tip and Tail - A pre-cured fiberglass insert placed in the board's tip to reduce swing weight and add durability and maneuverability. Feature 4: 3D Base Contour – 3mm of 3D contour (spoon) that gradually blends from the running surface deflects soft snow, eases turn initiation, and remains predictable on hardpack. Feature 5: ICG™ 20 Triax Glass with Carbon - Integrating tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers into fiberglass layups ensures a smooth power release in and out of turns while increasing the snowboard's pop, liveliness, and longevity without adding unnecessary rigidity. Feature 6: Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base - Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.
K2 Excavator
$549.95
Named for its intended use, the K2 Excavator specializes in digging deep trenches on groomers and displacing powder after a storm cycle. Built around a wider perimeter with a dual-radius sidecut, the Excavator is unisex in approach and caters to advanced riders, carving groomers, and floating in powder. The wider profile of the Excavator allows riders to size down around 5cm from their usual length without sacrificing performance. This extra width and 20mm taper benefits riders with larger feet, reducing toe drag on deep carves and long traverses. Inside, we use our smooth-flexing S1 Core to keep it responsive and damp underfoot. Finally, we top it with our ICG™ 10 Biax Glass with tip-to-tail carbon stringers. This technology lets us keep the snowboard relaxed torsionally for easy turn initiation but helps to add snap over the entire length of the board. We've also added our pre-cambered Carbon Power Forks™ in the tail to allow for an energy boost into and out of turns and those spontaneous "Slow Sign" ollies. This tech is sandwiched between a wax-infused Sintered 4001 base, waxable and supremely durable P-Tex sidewalls, and a snow-shedding SnoPhobic™ top sheet. Feature 1: NEW! S1 Core - Lightweight, snappy, and durable, our ALL NEW! Feature 2: ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Glass - Integrating Carbon Fiber stringers that run the length of the board into our fiberglass increases the snap of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity. Feature 3: SnoPhobic Top Sheet - This top sheet material sheds unwanted snow build-up, keeping your snowboard light and nimble. Feature 4: Carbon Power Fork™ - A pre-cambered carbon inlay in the tail of your snowboard gives the board energy in and out of turns and adds extra pop for takeoffs and landings. Feature 5: Hybritech™ Sidewall Construction - A K2 exclusive. By transitioning from a P-Tex sidewall into a capped construction in the tip and tail of our snowboards, we can reduce waste while giving our snowboards better energy transfer and making them more durable than our competitors. Feature 6: Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base - Built using Crown's hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer.

The easiest way to describe it is that you simply get into the groove, and like a musician riffs on their stand-up bass, the K2 Instrument is the snowboard that you need to navigate the contours of the terrain as they come. Before we talk tech, let's talk about shape. This directional model from K2 features a traditional camber line and utilizes our Volume Shift design to add just the right amount of width to the board for laying trench on groomers without reducing responsiveness. A longer radius in the tip of the board eases turn initiation, while a deeper sidecut underfoot helps to rail hard arcing turns.
